I'm back in KL. Home sweet home!
It was hectic preparing to go and just as hectic to come back. Trying to get used to the warm weather. It was so cold in Melbourne the week before I left. But all is good.
Surprisingly, I am not craving or excited about getting my favourite local foods yet. I guess I got turned off by the food served on board MAS. The nasi briyani was rather bland. The chicken pieces did not do anything to fire up my taste buds. I was more excited to see my Pneo instead.
We met up the next day and spent the whole day together. We had breakfast, watched a movie, had lunch, continued the movie, had a short nap, had dinner and another movie, before he took me home. It really felt like I am home - it was bliss I tell you. We went out again the following day. Pneo took a day off from work so we could go to the city, avoiding the jams and found ample parking. We have been planning this for some time now and so glad that we found the time to.
Later, we headed towards home and had late lunch at Chili's 1U. For the first time ever, I finished a whole plate of salad on my own (of course, Pneo did have a few scoops)! I am impressed with my new ability LOL. It was Mandalay Chicken Salad with balsamic dressing, mandarin oranges and pineapples. So that may have been a factor. Those days I could not finish a Caesars Salad without feeling 'filled' halfway. I shall try that soon.
On both occasions, I had McDonald's breakfast - Sausage McMuffin with Egg the first day and Big Breakfast the next. Finally! It was so good. I have not had any McDonald's breakfast since I left. So you can imagine the joy I had as I sunk my teeth onto the sausage and egg, bringing out a satisfied smile on my face.
Soon I will regain my appetite. That is where the fun will start. With that said, I hope I would not put on the weight that I lost during my sabbatical LOL!

During the solitary times in Melbourne, I was able to reflect and look at how my life had been going. There were regrets and past thoughts that were still haunting me. To cut the long story short, and by God's grace, I have let go of them.
I am looking forward to a new beginning - to restart my life. I am going to do things differently with a new attitude and a different view of things around me. I will have a new outlook and hope to achieve much change in my life, for a better future. Sound ambitious? It would take time of course, but knowing that I have taken that step, there is no turning back. I can only go forward and am assured that God is with me each step of the way. I know I am not alone.
I would like to thank my family and friends for their support all these years. But I would especially like to thank my Pneo. If not for him, I would still be stuck in my old state trying to get out of a mindless life filled with a past that haunts with no end. I would continue to drown my pains with temporary materials of happiness or try to blot out certain memories. I would not have even realized that it was so easy to get out of it.
He is my angel and I thank God for placing him in my life. I am truly blessed.
